Which aircraft are available for jumping in Malawi?
There are a number of aircraft available in Malawi, some more common than others. There are also a number of more exotic aircraft about, but these are not normally available for skydiving in Malawi. These include some trike ultralights, Cessna Caravans and King Airs. The commonly available aircraft are listed below.

Airvan

The Australian built Airvan – an 8 seater with an attitude! The aircraft was designed and built in Australia for rugged operations ferrying supplies, passengers or parachutists and can carry up to 700kg of freight. The aircraft was especially designed with skydiving in mind, as on of its design criteria. The aircraft has a large interior and offers ample room for up to 6 jumpers. It features a large sliding door, which can be opened in flight. The exit is straight out the door, in a dive- or classic arch exit.

Cherokee Six

This is the Piper equivalent to the well known Cessna C206.

This is the Piper equivalent to the well known Cessna C206. While not a “classic” skydiving aircraft, it has been used by a number of clubs for skydiving operations around the world. It's larger interior gives the jumpers more room than the C206. The exit is usually out the back door in dive position, but an over wing exit out the front door is also possible

Cherokee Pathfinder

Piper's answer to the C182.

This is the Piper equivalent to the well known Cessna C182. While not a “classic” skydiving aircraft either, it can outperforms the C182, due to its larger 250hp engine. The normal exit is over the back of the wing.

A classic amongst skydivers - the C182 is well known all over the world in skydiving operations. The aircraft is exited through the copilot door onto the main wheel, where one can jump of in a classic arch position. A dive exit straight from the cabin is also possible for the impatient.

Dornier 228

Payload: 2000 kg

Country: German

Climb: 1500 feet/min

Used by the Malawi Defence Force, this is a twin turbine powered aircraft. The aircraft has a great climb performance and load carrying capacity. It features a large cargo door at the back suitable for skydiving.
